The sun is shining here today in NEPA and I am thinking it’s about time to take stock of the kids clothes, boots, sneakers, lighter jackets, rain gear and all the other stuff they need for Spring.
My oldest is in the I -need- new -stuff -each- year stage, and my youngest who will be 6 in June can usually do with new shoes and a few filler items but is fairly stocked with his brother’s hand me downs. Still, I always end up either over buying or underbuying in some ways. This year I decided to do something crazy and try to make life a little easier with some organization (say WHAT?!)

Spring wardrobe essentials for kids
I created a checklist here of the Spring Kids’ wardrobe items we always like to make sure we have on hand when the weather breaks. I think we are all busting to get the heck out of the house this year more than ever. If you have more than one little I would print out one checklist for each and write their current sizes up top to keep it all organized when you are ordering.
I also laid out simple yet effective method you can use to see what you have, get rid of what you don’t need, and I linked to the Amazon Spring shop below that has some of my favorite stand-by Spring kids wardrobe essentials.
You can download the free checklist and Spring clothes swap out guide by entering your email below.

The best Spring kid’s basics on Amazon
Some of the Kids wardrobe Spring must-haves on the checklist are:
- T-shirts
- long-sleeve t-shirts
- shorts
- light pants
- raincoat/ rainjacket
- socks/underwear
- pj’s
- hoodies
- rainboots
- flip flops
- sneakers
I’ve gathered even more of my favorite kid’s basics in the shop here. I added a few more Spring accessories I like to have on hand for the change of season and some kids accessories I stock up on as well to the Amazon Spring kid’s essentials as well.
Next week I’ll be posting about different ways to refresh your home for spring and that will include some things I like to keep in my mudroom and entryway, a few things I keep in the car.
Once you go work through the super simple 5 steps on the Spring wardrobe worksheet and fill out your checklist of inventory you have and what you need, you will have your shopping list already made for you (so you won’t catch yourself buying a bunch of stuff you already have, well, maybe…) and your drawers and closets will be sorted and ready for the upcoming season- only 17 more days until it is officially Spring here in the Northern Hemishphere!
